OUR SOURCE OF INSPIRATION
"For anything great and good that you want to do in your life, there is one crucial pre-requisite - inspiration. A good inspiration brings with it a wave of energy that by itself can propel you over the finish line."
The voyage was
not easy, nevertheless, ignited by the inspiration and blessings of the great visionary and
philanthropist Late Shri Mathura Nath Chowdhury, we were successful in translating his dream
into reality.
During his lifetime, Late Shri Mathura Nath Chowdhury tirelessly worked for the welfare of
the people from all walks of life. It was his passionate dream to do something meaningful
for the society as a whole so that people can derive benefit out of it on a perennial basis.
He realised that many girls of North Bengal mainly from the tribal community choose Nursing
as a profession and they need to go to far flung places to undergo Nursing course. Thus, he
seriously thought of establishing a Nursing Institute. However, during his lifetime, his
noble desire could not be accomplished. To honour his wish, we formed a Trust in his name
"Mathura Nath Memorial Trust" and made a sincere attempt to establish a Nursing Institution,
where-in Bsc Nursing and GNM courses could be imparted. We were ultimately successful in our
attempt which led to the establishment of the Mathura Nath Memorial Nursing Institute at
Falakata.
